Set of 4 canned campaign chairs

Magnificent set of 4 country chairs from the very beginning of the twentieth century. These chairs, made of solid oak, have a canned seat, which makes all their originality. They are in good condition, the structure is reliable, and the traces of wear present add charm and authenticity. An anti-pest treatment was passed to stop the proliferation of woodworms. The cannage is like new on two of the chairs, and a little flexible on the other two, but they remain perfectly usable. The napoleonic style is perfectly recognizable with this beautiful turned spacer and these feet in the shape of a spinning top. What makes all the originality of these chairs is the contrast between the backrest in two parts, fixed with nails, very countryside, and the canned seat, almost modern! They are ideal for a vintage, rustic decoration, but not at all outdated, while having efficient and racy furniture!
