Technical sheet. * Period / Style: Western Europe, Louis-Philippe Style (Neo-Rococo), 1840-1860. * Materials: Solid pine structure veneered in choice walnut and remarkable patterned pyramidal walnut (symmetrical foliage). Internal drawers in solid hardwood. Brass hardware. * Finish: Traditional hand-applied shellac finish, high gloss. Harmonised and deep colour. * Dimensions: Width 124.5 cm|Height 82.5 cm|Depth 69 cm. Leg space: Height 70.5 cm|Width 52.5 cm. * Layout: Single-sided lady's desk of "minister desk" type. 3 belt drawers under the top. Left cabinet closed by a door concealing 3 English sliding drawers (open fronts for documents). Right cabinet closed by a door concealing deep drawers with solid fronts. Supplied with a set of 5 adjusted brass keys. * Logistics: Disassemblable into 3 independent parts (the top and the two side cabinets) to facilitate handling, transport, and installation. Description and condition. Elegant small lady's desk with cabinets from the mid-19th century. It features a flowing top with soft, sinuous lines typical of the neo-Rococo style. The façade is enhanced by the choice of pyramidal walnut veneer with symmetrical foliage patterns extending over the doors and belt drawers. The item has undergone a complete and rigorous restoration in cabinetmaking and finishing. The structure is perfectly sound, rigid, and stable. The internal drawers and doors are precisely fitted within the frame and slide perfectly. The original locks have been serviced and are fully functional. The varnish offers excellent transparency and a stretched mirror-like gloss. Not used after restoration, in impeccable condition.
