City landscape by listed swedish painter and illustrator carl oscar larsson (1887-1962). Handwritten and dated in the lower right part of the picture. This painting was painted in 1958. Oil painting on the panel. In an original period setting. Carl oscar christian larsson, born 1 august 1887 in malmö, died 1962 in malmö, was a swedish typographer, painter and draughtsman. He was the son of superintendent axel fredrik larsson and anna kristina persson. In the years 1914–1928 he married elisabeth billsten, and from 1929 with inga amalia ivarsson. Larsson first trained as a typographer and later studied at the technical vocational school in malmö from 1910 to 1914 and during study trips to denmark and germany. He exhibited separately in lund, stockholm and malmö, and from 1916 he participated in group exhibitions with the skåne art association. His work includes self-portraits, harbor motifs, naturalistic landscapes and street scenes from lund, malmö, copenhagen and roskilde. Larsson is represented in uppsala university library.
