Murano glass "Lenti" bowl/centerpiece designed by Ercole Barovier for Barovier & Toso (Italy, 1940s/50s). Made of thick amber/honey coloured glass with clear overlay. Fantastic semispherical bubble design. Crafted of fine quality Italian art glass. The vibrant colour and the high quality craftsmanship make this bowl highly decorative. Diameter: 18 cm; height: 10.5 cm; weight: 1, 5 kg. Excellent original condition. No chips, no cracks. Ercole Barovier invented numerous techniques of making and decorating glass. Among his most inventive and original designs is the 'Lenti' ('lenses' in Italian) series of vases, bowls and lamps. The Lenti series was technically complex to make with no two pieces entirely the same and for that reason, it remains among Ercole Barovier’s most prized and sought-after design.
