This vase is a representative example of Polish folk ceramics from the 1970s, made by the Zakład Fajansu in Koło. The slender, tall silhouette with a gently narrowed line emphasises the geometric discipline of the form, characteristic of the design of that period. Warm, earthy shades of beige dominate, smoothly transitioning from light cream to medium brown, highlighted by bands of olive green. The surface is finished with a satin glaze that reflects light with subtle softness, and the hand-drawn floral motifs – large, stylised flowers in muted yellow and brown – create a composition with two wide brown bands. The texture appears smooth at first glance, but brush marks reveal the handmade nature of the work. The condition is very good – the ceramic shows no visible signs of damage, repair or significant wear.
