Boris Kassianoff glazed ceramic vase

Large ceramic bottle vase by boris kassianoff (1932-2016). Brown and cream enamel. Incised foliage decoration. Nice height: 46cm. Typical work of the ceramist and painter of russian origin who worked in vallauris in the 50s and 60s. Ceramist who produced utilitarian pieces similar to those of albert thiry but also imposing and heavier pieces like this one. Use of fairly dark chamotte earth. A remarkable piece. Note a chip on the collar but which is almost invisible. No signature, like all the works of boris kassianoff.
