Polish poster world assembely of builders of peace by karol sliwka. Poster won 2nd prize in polish peace committee contest for poster: "world assembley of builders of peace in 1976" kaw award, warsaw, at 7th polish poster biennale in katowice in 1977. Poster folded in half originally. Karol śliwka was a very versatile designer. His work included packaging, book and record covers, postage stamps and posters. Yet logos hold a special place in his career, such as those created for the institute of mother and child, general director of roads and highways, the national library, adamed, and school and educational publishers. Some of these are currently considered cult classics – you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone in poland who wouldn't recognize pko bp bank's distinctive logo.
