Large table lamp by the ceramist Jean Austruy (1910-2012) with a relief red glaze decoration around the edge. Like Suzanne Ramié (Madoura) and Robert Picault, Jean Austruy is part of that post-war generation of ceramists who reinterpreted traditional popular pottery, thus contributing to the revival of the arts of earth and fire. A trained designer and sculptor, he redesigned vases and jugs by modernising the handles with scrolls and twists. The rhythm brings freshness and a new whimsy to everyday objects, affirming their dual utilitarian and decorative roles. The colours of the 1940s are solid with glazed or metallic effects. Indicative dimensions in cm of the lamp base: H30 cm ø base 13 circumference 60 - weight 2.7 kg. Presentation lampshade not included. Note: the photo with a more suitable shape lampshade seems to me to be for example. 📦 Delivery methods offered (exclusively): . Colissimo .
