Fine earthenware vases with marble decoration circa 1930. Fixed lid, brass mounts. Shape called baluster or amphora. Dimensions: 36 cm high and 13 cm at the widest part of the body. Weight/unit: 1.7 kg. Nobility of style and proportions. Many vases or pots created at this time do not exceed 20 cm. Metal pin inside the piece to secure the 3 parts (base, body and hood). 🧐paul millet signature at the base, it is authentic, not "attributed to", a vague mention which most often hides imitations. Pm, renowned ceramist born in 1870 and died in 1950 ➡ majority of productions between the two wars. 🌌 these pieces, given their size and aesthetics, constitute selected decorative elements, finding their place particularly well on a credenza or in the boxes of a library for example. The enamel is very shiny, very well preserved; without cracks, without tarnishing or crazing. In certain very limited places, we observe dark gray impacts the size of a pinhead or barely larger, visible only very very close up and which can therefore be described as negligible. These are small points of metallic oxidation since the cutlery contained (and sometimes still contain) lead. Over time, here almost a century, this inevitably "comes up" a little bit. The brass parts are in so-called "used" condition, especially at the base which is pitted. Many photos: overall perspectives and details. You buy what you see! 📦 well protected shipment inside the package, like a sarcophagus, so that the pieces do not move - and on the outside by cladding which will prevent any sinking in the event of impact.
