A stoneware bull sculpture, poised between figuration and abstraction. The glazing, done with alquifoux—a traditional glaze from the southern Mediterranean—gives it a unique patina. For over forty years, Dominique Pouchain has been crafting a poetic bestiary in ceramics in his Montjoux studio, nestled between the hills of Dieulefit and the ever-changing light of the Drôme Provençale. His animals, with their clean lines and instantly recognizable features, have found their way into numerous private collections, both in France and abroad.
