LC95A Low Chair by Belgian designer Maarten Van Severen , made in his Ghent atelier in 1995. Produced before his collaboration with industrial manufacturers, the chair belongs to the small group of experimental one-off pieces through which Van Severen developed his early furniture language directly in the workshop. Constructed from a single folded aluminium sheet forming a low, flexible seat, the silhouette recalls Willy Guhl's 1954 Loop Chair while remaining unmistakably Van Severen in its reduction and material directness. Finished in blue with rubber supports underneath. Preserved in great original condition with minor scratches consistent with use. A rare piece within Belgian collectible design.
