Ancient jug, terracotta pitcher from the Mediterranean.

Very beautiful ancient terracotta jug, handcrafted. Of Mediterranean origin, this piece features a warm red/orange terracotta, with some limestone traces on the surface that add extra charm. It is glazed at the neck, and hand-painted drop patterns in brown-green tones give it a rustic and Mediterranean appeal. It has a rounded belly, a narrow neck, and a side handle, typical of traditional utilitarian jugs. The jug is in generally good condition. It shows no visible major cracks or chips, only natural signs of age that enhance its authenticity, and a small chip on the handle (visible in the photos). You can hear that there is something inside the jug (likely the size of a small marble), but as the jug is closed at its neck, the mystery of this object remains intact! Weight: 1.70 kg.
