Very rare floor vase designed by Wilhelm Wagenfeld in 1950 and manufactured by Wuerttembergische Metalworks (WMF). Thick hand-blown tourmaline glass with two handles. Wagenfeld is one of the most important industrial designers of the 20th century. He studied at the Bauhaus from 1923 to 1930 and worked as a freelancer for WMF from 1949 to 1977. He designed several objects during his time at WMF. The tourmaline glasses are among his most famous creations. This example is very rare and difficult to find today.
