Side table or bedside table in pine attributed to Charlotte Perriand (1903-1999) for the ski resort Les Arcs, circa 1960. Made of pine (local wood), stylised with a composition of vertical boards. Two central drawers with a hollowed-out front leg and a slight curve on the side facades. The upper drawer is slightly smaller than the lower drawer. The corners are slightly rounded, as are the handles, which adds a lot of softness to this piece, predominantly showcasing a simple and straight modern stylisation. Asian influence, particularly from Japan, where Charlotte Perriand worked. There is a significant resurgence in contemporary decor featuring this "chalet" look in pine, mainly thanks to Charlotte Perriand and the current recognition of the importance of her design (which is also feminine). Avant-garde in her desire to adopt local codes of chalet furniture, as well as local wood that is easy to assemble, clean, and maintain for small living spaces. All in the mid-century principle: "less is more." Overall good condition, with some scratches and signs of wear, particularly on the shelves. No missing parts. Please refer to the photos. Slight misalignment in the design of the lower drawer. Dimensions: 52 cm wide, 42 cm high, and 43 cm deep.
