RZB wall lamp / ceiling light in opaline – Germany, 1960s
Applique / ceiling light RZB in opaline – Germany, 1960s. Very beautiful vintage light fixture from the German manufacturer RZB (Rudolf Zimmermann, Bamberg), dating from the 1960s. Its white opaline glass diffuser adopts a circular and bulging shape, highlighted by remarkable relief work. Radiating ribs extend from the center of the upper face and continue around the entire perimeter, creating an elegant pleated movement. This interplay of lines and volumes gives the whole a sculptural presence and a particularly graphic modernist aesthetic. The light diffused by the opaline is soft and homogeneous. The relief of the glass also adds depth and character to the fixture, whether it is on or off. This model can be installed as both a ceiling light and a wall sconce. It will be perfect for an entrance, hallway, stairwell, bedroom, or living room. Its streamlined silhouette allows it to integrate into a vintage, modernist, or contemporary decor, adding a beautiful retro touch. At the back, the metal plate and the RZB DKN spring mounting system are completely concealed after installation. The DKN system developed by RZB since 1960 is a coherent element with this dating. Ceramic E27 socket. Maximum power indicated: 60 W. Dimensions: Diameter: 25 cm. Height: 10 cm.
