Tulip table designed by Eero Saarinen (1910–1961) and produced by Knoll International around 1960. The round melamine-coated wood top rests on a central white-lacquered cast iron base, characteristic of Saarinen's work, which sought to streamline forms by eliminating multiple legs under the tables. This now iconic design embodies the fusion of functionality and modernity championed by the American manufacturer Knoll.
