It is handcrafted with pastels, charcoal and plaster to achieve a monochromatic earthy texture. Its simple harmony makes it calming and soothing at first sight, but you could spend hours admiring its natural randomness, noticing new textures, shapes, depths and variations of color. This piece is part of my roche series, which is inspired by italian frescos, rock erosion, natural earthy tones and the way historical buildings wear out in time.
