Flat desk in Louis XVI style made of solid mahogany. Height under the frieze 61 cm. Rectangular top surrounded by a brass gallery, covered with bottle green leather with a gold-stamped border, in very good condition according to the seller. Waist with three drawers on the front, equipped with handles and lock entries in chiselled bronze; gilt bronze rosettes at the corners. Four slightly fluted tapered conical legs, fitted with capitals and solid brass feet. Interior assembly of the drawers in hand-cut dovetail on an oak structure, characteristic of quality artisanal manufacturing. Patina wear on the leather, natural oxidation of the bronzes. General condition consistent with the age of the piece; cleaning and restoration of the bronzes to be assessed. Dimensions: H. 78 cm – W. 145 cm Estimated weight: 50 kg.
