Vintage Yellow Rex Folding Armchair: Mid-Century Modern Design by Niko Kral

Vintage Rex folding armchair designed by Niko Kralj (1920–2013), one of Slovenia’s most celebrated industrial designers, and produced by Stol Kamnik in the former Yugoslavia during the 1970s. Constructed from solid wood, this model features the signature slatted seat and backrest, wide angular armrests, and a folding mechanism for compact storage. This example has been finished in a vibrant yellow paint, adding a playful twist to the original modernist form. Recognised as a design icon of 20th-century furniture, the Rex chair is part of museum collections worldwide, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Condition: in good vintage condition with visible signs of age - there are some scratches. Please note that the chair has traces of the brush from coloring.
