Rare salon set from the Far Horizons collection by the American publisher Ficks Reed, emblematic of modernist design from 1954. Comprising a pair of armchairs and two ottomans, this set is distinguished by its elegant structure in bamboo and stained rattan, enhanced by visible bindings and brass tips, signatures of the "campaign/tropical modern" style developed by Ficks Reed in the mid-20th century. The lines are both robust and refined, designed for indoor use as well as for a veranda or holiday residence. The generous proportions offer excellent comfort, further enhanced by cushions covered in a beige fabric, understated and perfectly suited to the aesthetic of the set. The rattan bindings and structures are well preserved. Armchair: 75 x 66 x 89 cm Ottoman: 39 x 66 x 66 cm.
