Rare Sklo Union ashtray. Rudolfova Hut glassworks. Model: 13100./15. Design Jiri Zejmon, 1960. Width: 15 cm. Weight: 680 g. In good condition despite a minimal chip (see close-up photo). Bubbles and traces inherent to glassmaking may be present (see photos). *** He was a student of Václav Hanuš at the VSUP in Prague. He began working at the Inwald glassworks, where a pressed glass center was established. Rudolf Schröter and his classmate Václav Hanuš also worked at this company. It was during this time that young artists began to successfully apply and promote new pressed glass designs. Jíří Zejmon is a talented pressed glass designer and one of the first designers to promote a new approach to pressed glass. Since 1960 he has been the main artist in the pressed glass department of skloexport.
