Service 8 cups "Rosette Taïga" Tapio Wirkkala & Ute Schröder for Rosenthal, ca 1970

Rosenthal porcelain tea/coffee set. "Composition" model designed by Tapio Wirkkala (1915-1985) for Rosenthal, produced from 1963 to 1982. "Taiga rosette" decoration created by Ute Schröder. The set includes 8 footed cups (diam. 9.5 cm, h 7 cm, vol. 22.5 cl), 8 saucers (diam. 14.5 cm), an oval jug (h 16 cm, vol. 1.5 liters), a covered sugar bowl (diam. 10 cm, h 9 cm) and a creamer (h 9.5 cm, vol. 22.5 cl), i.e. 21 pieces. In excellent condition: no accidents, not a scratch, tiny signs of use on the bottom of some cups. Complete and impeccable set, born from the Finnish imagination associated with the quality of Rosenthal manufacture.
