Solid Oak Farmhouse Table – Handmade in Southwest France This table was handcrafted in my workshop in the heart of Southwest France from solid oak – some of which comes from my own estate. The wood comes from magnificent oak trees that fell naturally during the great storm of 2009 – trees that stood proudly on the land, and which I wanted to give a second life through traditional craftsmanship. Measuring 272 cm long, 120 cm wide, and 75 cm high, this table combines strength and elegance. It features four drawers placed back-to-back, two on each side, made using traditional joinery methods to ensure sturdiness and authenticity. Its gently tapered legs give it a graceful appearance – despite its size and robustness, it seems light and balanced, full of harmony. Each surface has been sanded and finished entirely by hand, revealing the natural beauty and depth of the oak grain. The wood has acquired an antique patina, warm, deep, and vibrant—a finish that can only be achieved through the patient and respectful work of the hands. Made with love, patience, and respect for one of nature's noblest materials, this table carries within it the story of the earth, the storm, and the artisan's touch that brought it to life. The table is born—and now ready to serve.
