Dimensions: approx. 49 × 49 × 79 × 46 cm (Width × Depth × Height × Seat Height) A very beautiful and rare set of four dining chairs, designed by Niels O. Møller and manufactured by J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik in Denmark. Model 71 was first introduced in 1951 and is considered one of the earliest and most significant designs in the Møller collection – a cornerstone of Danish furniture history and the beginning of a series of creations still appreciated today. The filigree dining chair is distinguished by its elegantly curved backrest, made from several layers of glued moulded veneer, creating an exceptionally sculptural and harmonious silhouette. This complex construction not only ensures visual lightness but also great seating comfort. The frames, with their clear proportions in solid wood, highlight the craftsmanship and timeless elegance of this design. All chairs have been professionally refurbished and fitted with a new hand-woven seat made from original Danish paper cord. The wood has been re-glued and varnished, showcasing a beautiful authentic patina along with some rare signs of normal use for their age. Condition: Very good vintage condition – professionally restored, new weaving, stable and fully functional. An exceptionally rare set in this quality, ideal for demanding living and dining spaces as well as for collectors of Scandinavian design classics.
