Pair of armchairs J. Lang, Philippe Starck, Driade 1987

This pair of "J Lang" model armchairs was designed by Philippe Starck in 1987 for Driade. These armchairs were part of the Lang collection, specially created to furnish the French Ministry of Culture in tribute to the minister of the time, Jack Lang. Their minimalist yet comfortable design remains iconic, featuring a structure covered in elegant black leather and a sculpted rear leg in cast aluminium. Signed at the base. Manufacturer: Aleph Driade, circa 1987. Good vintage condition, with some signs of use.
