German auxiliary furniture or small sideboard designed by franz ehrlich for veb deutsche werkstätten hellerau in the 1950s. Vintage piece made of teak and elm veneer with conical legs in stained oak. The design, of marked rationalist style, has two doors facing each other behind which hides a diaphanous storage space with a shelf adjustable in height. Under the top board hides a sliding tray in elm veneer and solid wood edges. The quality and functionality of the piece take us back to the golden age of the bauhaus in dessau, the school where the designer studied between 1927 and 1930. It is in a very good state of conservation after having been restored and finished with two layers of satin colorless oil-wax, respecting the natural brightness and tone of its woods.
