Vintage table of 1960 in very good condition, beautiful patina on the footing, walnut petals. Designer: Richard Schultz. Brand: Knoll. Colors: wood. Material: walnut, metal. Dimensions: 107cm x H 71cm. Knoll's petal table was created in 1960 by Richard Schultz, who took inspiration from a weed growing in Pennsylvania, the Queen Anne's Lace. The main feature of this table is none other than its tray composed of 8 petals. These petals rest independently on an aluminum rod which allows them to contract or expand according to the climate depending on the climate. Its star footing is made of aluminum cast iron. It was created to accompany Bertoia chairs. Its success was such that the table was directly exposed at MoMA in New York.
