Handcrafted stoneware teapot. Its cylindrical body rests on a discreet foot that visually lightens the silhouette, while its almost flush lid, perfectly integrated into a high collar, emphasises a simple yet remarkably elegant line. The generous handle complements the short spout in a balance of great simplicity. Beige-grey glaze, finely speckled with honey-brown nuances on the edges and reliefs. Not stamped, this piece evokes the productions of the Puisaye workshops from the 1960s-1970s. Its Japonese aesthetic, the quality of its turning, its slight foot, and its flat lid recall the formal language developed by several ceramists from this region, although a precise attribution cannot be asserted. Fully glazed interior. Lid perfectly fitted and held by a deep collar. In excellent vintage condition, with tiny firing irregularities and a small chip on the top of the spout (see photos). Total length (handle to spout) 19 cm, widest diameter 10.5 cm, base diameter 10 cm, height 9.5 cm, interior depth 7 cm. Estimated capacity approximately 45 cl. A teapot where the Japonese spirit meets the craftsmanship of Puisaye stoneware.
