Height: 7.8 cm / 3.07 in. Width: 8.5 cm / 3.35 in. Weight: 251 g / 8.85 oz. It is made of two pieces of glass. One is frosted, the other is clear. The small teeth fit together perfectly. This is a beautiful object that can be used as a candy dish, jewelry box, trinket dish, candle holder... The choice is yours, but it also stands beautifully on its own as a decorative piece. Michael Bang was a Danish designer and ceramicist who created some of Holmegaard's most popular and widely used glass pieces over the years, many of which have become collector's items. The son of Jacob E. Bang, Holmegaard's first designer, Michael Bang worked in Bjørn Wiinblad's studio, at the Royal Porcelain Manufactory in Copenhagen, and at Ekenäs Glasbruk AB in Sweden. In his creative work, Michael Bang excelled at combining simplicity and practicality, emblematic of the Scandinavian lifestyle and everyday life, and then adding a touch of originality or a unique form to the glass, making him one of the greatest glass artists.
