Small oil on plywood. This painting highlights a scene from everyday life in the early 20th century. In the foreground, we see a washerwoman busy with her tub, a pile of laundry placed on the ground. The stone bridge in the background becomes the true subject of the composition. An element of contrast between the peaceful sky and the moving water, the figure of the bridge is deliberately imposed by the painter as the central object of the painting.
