12 knife holders by Edouard Sandoz for the Goldsmith Gallia-Christofle

This set of twelve silver metal animal-shaped knives is an icon of art deco created around 1930 for the first-class dining room of the Normandy liner. Measuring more or less 9cm each: Peacock, swan, dove, bear, lion, pelican, hare, greyhound, pig, lying dog, cat and fish are all treated in a pure and cubist style that corresponds well to the times. Presented in their original case, they all bear the brand "O.Gallia" and are in a good state of use, without lack of silver.
