Chandelier 1940

Vintage french 4 light 4 sided quality bronze cage chandelier dating from the 1940s.the chandelier is made up of a four sided cage with acanthus leaf detailing and a central decorative finial at the bottom. The 4 scrolled acanthus leaf arms form part of the cage and lead to leaf shaped candle drip holders and the candle drips are wood and in keeping with the chandelier. The chandelier hangs from a 7 link chain 3 of which are decorative a bar and a decorative acanthus leaf ceiling fitting. The light has its original french twin core wiring and takes 4 small screw in bulbs e14s. The bronze has a lovely time worn patina with some verdigris, it has been cleaned but not polished so you can decide on the finish.
