Pair of shutters (H148cm X W245cm) made of painted oak and fir (white paint revealing an old green paint), with 4 panels, featuring a louvered section at the top. Classic mortise and tenon construction, with dowels. This pair of shutters is equipped with heavy U-hinges with face-mounted pins, hinges, a locking mechanism, diamond-shaped plates with fixing bars, exterior latches, and vertical handles. They come complete with their wall hardware (see photo: ground pins). The woodwork is in good condition, although the lower part is more damaged by the elements. One vertical post is broken, clearly visible in our photos; it can be repaired if necessary or concealed if used as decorative elements, screens, etc. There are some missing sections (mainly at the bottom, see the middle at the bottom) and scuffs documented in the photos. The paint has some missing areas and is flaking in places. They can obviously return to their original function or be repurposed as authentic decorative objects (woodwork, headboard, screen, etc.). We are also selling a second pair of the same style, from the same period, and of the same dimensions. Weight of the pair: 75kg.
