Refined low coffee table (model Mensa or Mensa Magna) that represents one of the highest expressions of the renowned collaboration between the famous Italian brand Giorgetti and the Luxembourgish architect and urban theorist Léon Krier, initiated in the early '90s. The piece perfectly embodies Krier's design philosophy, based on a postmodern language that reinterprets the stable proportions and geometries of classical and neoclassical architecture in a contemporary light. The table is entirely made of fine solid cherry wood and high-quality veneering. The finish, in a warm honey tone, enhances the natural flames and deep grain of the wood. The rectangular top stands out for its sophisticated craftsmanship, characterised by a central inlay with mirrored grains enclosed by a striking internal geometric frame with shaped profiles. The legs represent the true distinctive feature of the collection; the four supports have a sculptural and vigorous line with a characteristic sabre-like curvature, giving lift and a strong monumental identity to a piece designed to last over time. Beneath the top is the original brass identification plate inscribed with "GIORGETTI design LÉON KRIER – MADE IN ITALY" and the respective stamped serial number, guaranteeing the total authenticity of the collectible piece. The top shows only slight and normal signs of wear or superficial micro-scratches due to use, which do not alter its beauty and collectible value. With a re-polishing of the top, any signs of time disappear.
