Superb vintage modular sofa from the 1970s. It consists of a set of 5 modular armchairs in blue wool, Tappo model by John Mascheroni for Vectra. Modularity: The "Tappo" system was originally introduced in 1973 as a set of modular sofas with sections. The individual armchairs (without armrests) can be assembled to create straight sofas, corner configurations, or custom arrangements to fit the space. Space Age Aesthetic: True to the style of its time, this model is distinguished by its low lines, enveloping and organic shapes, as well as its generously padded structures covered in thick wool. This sofa, reminiscent of Don Chadwick's Modular Seating for Herman Miller, remains in the spirit of great designers such as Pierre Paulin, Joe Colombo, Verner Panton, Olivier Mourgue, Pierre Guariche, Eames, or publishing houses like Knoll, Artifort, Airborne, Ligne Roset, Roche Bobois... The elements can be arranged in multiple ways to suit your space. In total, the set measures 295 cm (see dimensions on the diagram in the photos). Rare on the market, very comfortable, and in very good condition for its age (no snags or stains).
