Pretty turned stoneware pitcher lightly pyrite enamelled signed fontgombault under the base. This is the abbey of fontgombault in the creuse valley, where the monks made utilitarian pottery. This model, probably dating from the 60s or 70s, has a beautiful milky gray enamel and a very pretty conical shape, flared at the bottom for perfect stability (in the photos, it appears a little less conical than it is in reality ).the body has ringed reliefs and the handle is nicely worked. It is a beautiful piece, very decorative, alone or in a collection, it can also be used as a vase. It can be used on the table, but in this case, bring a bottle brush for cleaning, because its relatively tight opening does not allow you to pass your hand through it. This pitcher is in very good condition: no cracks, no chips, just two chips under the base, invisible once the pitcher is placed on a piece of furniture. It measures 17 cm in height, 11.5 cm in diameter at the base, 8 cm in diameter at the opening and around fifteen cm in width including the handle.
