Fully hand-knotted, pure wool, vegetable dyes, size: 283cmx190cm. Saraband carpet is the trade name for persian carpets woven in the mountainous region of sar-e band located south of the shahrestān of arāk and east of borujerd. Located in this region, the locality of mālemir is the origin of a neighboring trade name. The main motif used is the boteh miri, sometimes with a central medallion losangé, decorated with the boteh, and four spandrels that take up the patterns of the border, which is composed of narrow bands with different and alternating hues, decorated with the boteh or geometric patterns. The colors of the background are varied: blue, pink red and ivory. Very thin carpet, double knots and extremely solid!.
