Small beautiful table lamp from Danish Søholm 1960s. By Maria Philippi (MP). About Maria Philippi: Maria Philippi (1927-2004) was a recognized German ceramic artist who worked for a short period at the Danish ceramics workshop Søholm on Bornholm from 1962 to 1964. Her time at Søholm was brief but very influential. Her work continued to be sought after both during and after her time at Søholm, and her pieces are today considered valuable examples of mid-century modern Danish ceramics. She also worked closely with other significant designers and ceramists from Søholm such as Einar Johansen and Noomi Backhausen. It measures: 14 cm in height (20 cm in diameter), 11 cm diameter and weighs approx. 650 grams. No chips, cracks, or other defects and very beautiful in the glaze. A bulb is included in the sale (it has a standard E26/E27 socket) Will be packed carefully and sent with insurance.
