egg cups

Here are two very beautiful egg cups, different but rather well matched. While shopping for them, I thought they were both made of turned wood for the foot and set with a nicely crafted ceramic “container”. But on closer inspection, the foot of the darker one is made of synthetic material, a very hard molded resin which imitates a dark ebony-type wood. They are in good condition, no cracks on the ceramic, but small marks and scratches on the dark foot. They measure 6 cm in height, 4.3 cm in internal diameter at the opening.
