The bamboo joints are reinforced with rottan and seats are made of a canvas cloth. Eyelets are attached in the canvas cloth through which a cord runs. The cord also runs through holes in the bamboo frame, this construction ensures that the canvas cloth is under equal tension (see photos 8-9). The original composition of bamboo, rottan and canvas from the time is in good condition. The new cushion covers that we create consist of one whole covers of fabric. For example, there is 4 knots in the seating area and 2 knots in the back part. As fabric we have opted for a lemon yellow finely woven fabric. The seats have been reupholstered and fitted with new foam.
