Bird-shaped egg cup in stoneware signed Jean Marie Delahaye Malicornes.

Adorable egg cup in beautifully glazed stoneware, with an integrated saucer on which a small bird is perched. This egg cup is signed underneath, and after some research, I was able to identify the ceramist; it is Jean Marie Delahaye, a potter since 1972, based in Vilaines sous Malicornes since the 1980s. He continues his work as a ceramist today but only sells occasionally at artisan markets. It is a very beautiful piece of craftsmanship. The glazing is very successful, featuring multiple colours in cream, coffee, chocolate, caramel tones, and a frothy appearance. The egg cup is in perfect condition, with no cracks or chips. It measures 8 cm in diameter at the saucer, 4.2 cm in inner diameter at the egg cup, and 6 cm in height.
