Italian modular sofa from the 1970s consisting of six independent modules, fully upholstered in red cotton fabric. The design recalls Zanotta’s “Galeotta” armchair. Italian modular sofa from the 1970s, consisting of six independent elements that can be arranged in different configurations. Each module features a fully upholstered structure covered in red cotton fabric, with a low, deep seat and inclined backrest. The absence of a visible rigid frame and the continuity of the upholstery give the ensemble a soft, compact profile. The design belongs to the Italian exploration of modular upholstered furniture during the 1970s, when the conventional structure of the sofa was increasingly broken down into independent, reconfigurable elements. Its forms particularly recall the design language of the “Galeotta” armchair produced by Zanotta, sharing its low profile, fully upholstered construction and continuous relationship between seat and backrest. This reference is purely stylistic and does not constitute an attribution. Good condition. It may show signs of age, including some stains on the upholstery of some of the seats. Please pay attention to the photographs. AG551
