Antique oak flap desk

Wonderful antique oak flap desk, as beautiful as it is functional, with a superb presence and that soft patina that only time can create. It consists of four large independent storage spaces, arranged over two levels. Each is closed by a large moulded panel door mounted on an ingenious flap system: the door lifts up and then fits inside the piece, completely freeing the storage space. A particularly practical system that allows the compartments to be left open to display crockery, vintage linen, books, collectibles, or accessories, and then closed in an instant. The four generously moulded facades, the antique shell handles, and the beautiful proportions of the piece give it a great deal of character. Entirely made of oak, it features a magnificent natural patina that highlights the wood grain and bears witness to its history. Note: there are a few small wood losses on the upper part of some doors. They do not affect their functionality and are simply part of the scars left by the long life of this antique piece.
