Rocking chair in steam-bent beech, in the pure Thonet tradition. The elongated oval seat and backrest are upholstered with finely woven cane, slightly darkened by time. The sides of the structure feature beautiful spiral volutes, characteristic of this style, and the rockers curl into decorative arabesques. The wood has a honey-gold hue, typical of bent beech from this era. Estimated production from the 1960s-1970s, in the tradition of Viennese furniture made from bent wood. There is noticeable aging on the wood, consistent with the piece's age, which contributes to its authentic character. No recent re-caning: the cane is original. Generous dimensions, suitable for an adult: height 100 cm, width 95 cm, depth 46 cm. Lightweight at 4 kg, ideal for transport. A beautiful functional decorative object, perfect for a vintage, Art Nouveau, or Scandinavian interior.
