This set of chests of drawers dates from the 50s. They are most likely from the famous brand Pastoe. Indeed, they have all the characteristics of Cees Brakman's creations: curved plywood drawers (bent wood), shape of the brass hinges, combination of wood and cream white lacquer, fixing system and height of the bookcase shelves as well as the beauty of the teak veneer. One chest of drawers has 2 hinged doors and can be topped with a bookcase. The other chest of drawers has 4 drawers and a hinged door. The shelf on this one is not original. These 2 chests of drawers can be connected together using the side screws. They will then form a large row (without or with the bookcase) if they are separated, they will be perfect in a living room with a fireplace, one (with or without a bookcase) on one side, and the second on the other side. Ideal in a typical Brussels house. The keys are not original. The price includes the 3 elements. Period: 50's. Materials: teak veneer, cream white lacquer, solid brass handles.
