Oak desk with spindle legs, 1950s

Antique small desk all in oak with spindle legs. Very nice look, with its past fittings, and its front band which was deliberately cut to have a wide and comfortable leg passage. We like its wide and grooved top, the tapered legs and the details under the bands. Very beautiful wood species and color, so unique to oak. The base is pegged in the old style but the table has undergone some restorations. The top is screwed (original), you can see the screws on the top of the top. The desk has been entirely sanded, treated, lightly stained then protected with a transparent matte varnish. - dimensions - l 130 X d 76 X h 73 cm height under band - 68 cm.
