A student of the antwerp academy where he studied under the direction of the belgian painter franz courtens, julien célos is a belgian landscape painter known for his representations of street scenes. He draws his inspirations from the old quarters of holland and belgium. Old bruges with its picturesque little streets, squares and beguinages are his favorite subjects.
