Carved wooden footrest

Charming footstool (or step stool) from the Napoléon III era. A character piece made of dark-stained solid wood. What we particularly love: Its legs and stretcher turned in a beaded (or bobbin) style, typical of the period. Its richly carved top featuring a large central rosette and a border frieze. This small piece of furniture with an authentic patina will easily find its place in contemporary decor, whether as a footstool by the fire, repurposed as a plant stand to enhance a beautiful ceramic, or simply as a curiosity item.
