Pretty magazine rack with a small tray which also allows it to be used as a harness, end of sofa or why not original bedside table. The structure is made up of round section rods in gilded metal, the top is made of very fine compressed wood (laminate?) covered on both sides with formica with a light grain imitating wood. The top is simply placed on the structure, fitting slightly to stay in place. The pretty handles integrated into the structure and the extreme lightness of the whole make it easy to move this little piece of furniture. I cleaned it carefully, applied a thin layer of varnish to the upper side of the board and replaced the missing little black rubber pad (it should be quite easy to find one of the right size in a hardware store). Diy, but not in my beautiful countryside, so I "tinkered" with a small skate using a piece of electrical sheath closed at the bottom with a piece of the same material, it's functional and the difference doesn't stand out to the eye. This piece of furniture must date from the 60s or 70s. It is in good general condition, still solid, the welds are intact, but it does not hide some signs of its age and use: a slight warping and picketing in places of the gold metal of the structure, the top has scratches on the upper side, fortunately not very visible. On the underside, a few marks and a small lack of formica which I simply masked a little with brown felt-tip pen. The piece of furniture measures 51 cm in height at the handles, 48 cm in height at the shelf, and measures 39 cm in length and 24 cm in width.
