Magnificent round water jug in Terre de Fer, late 19th century, decorated with blue daisies in transfer. We love its generous and bulbous shape, typical of period toilet jugs, and its lovely floral decoration with a rustic charm. The daisy motif is present all over the body and even on the handle, with this superb dotted shaded navy blue effect that is so sought after. An authentic piece that will perfectly find its place as a vase for a bouquet of dried flowers, on a country kitchen sink, or as a shelf decoration. It’s the type of object that immediately brings character to an interior. Earthenware Terre de Fer. Daisies / Blue chrysanthemums. Late 19th century, around 1880-1900. High-necked round jug in ivory white and navy blue. Very good overall condition for its age. Very nice shiny glaze, with some normal usage cracks for an old Terre de Fer. Small chip of old glaze on the side (visible in the photo) and slight wear at the neck, nothing serious, it adds to its charm and attests to its authenticity. No through crack. Clean interior.
